Katie Martin
Saturday, July 2, 2016 |
___________________________________________________
Performing across the Southeast since 2006, Katie Martin's unique blend of blues, folk, and soul mesmerizes audiences in a way that has to be seen to understand. Her agelessly soulful vocals soar effortlessly above a rich propulsion of acoustic blues guitar reminiscent of Muddy Waters combined with the beautiful folk guitar of James Taylor, all performed with the honest intensity of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. Seeing Katie Martin perform is an experience like no other, and her refreshing individuality is one that leaves a lasting impression long after the stage has grown silent. She released her acoustic EP " Away From Here" with Haney Records in 2011. In 2015 she released "Katie Martin : Live From the Chocolate Room" ft. Tony Brook on slide guitar, and her debut album, "Purpose" both recorded, produced, and engineered by Larry Mitchell at The Chocolate Room.

Julie Gribble
Saturday, July 9, 2016 |
I started music about 10 years ago while living in Los Angeles. Pursuing acting all my life had been amazing but I needed a break. This 'break' led to pickin up that dusty guitar and spending hours a day just trying to figure it out…chords on napkins, asking a lot of questions, & a lot of long nights researching. I'm not a chick who can be told I can't do something and after a few open mics I got offered my first gig. This gig led to the next year..making a first record, getting signed on a small label, doing my first tour, & working long hours at a coffee shop to pay the bills. Working in that coffee shop early mornings led me to meeting some amazing people as well as opportunities, like meeting my producers, tv hosts Craig Ferguson &Tyra Banks, as well as various film/tv supervisors. Within a few years I went off on my own, started booking tours around the US, was given the opportunity to perform on the Late Late Show w/Craig Ferguson, The Tyra Banks Show, play 250+ dates a year, & made a second record.

David Patterson
Saturday, July 16, 2017 |
David “D.B.” Patterson is a songwriter who originally hails from the Midwest. He first started playing the guitar when he was about twenty, while serving in the USAF. After his four years of service were up, he attended U.W. Madison where he pursued a dual major in Art and Communication Arts. It was there he learned to play blues harmonica, and he and some friends formed a band called the Dharma Bums, which was the name of a Jack Kerouac novel. They played mostly covers, but the set list also included a few songs David wrote. When the band broke up and he and his friends went their separate ways, David remained interested in music, but it took a back seat to practical matters. David moved to Georgia in 1990. In 2010, David joined a local songwriters group which inspired him to once again focus on music. Since then he has completed three albums. His latest album is entitled “No Place Cool”. David’s musical influences include a combination of classic rock, folk and blues with a dash of country.
